Rationale:

The Out There module has been a huge learning curve for me, i have learnt a lot! Having to organise, set up and produce work for this exhibition show has given me a great experience in understanding how much work and development is evolved in putting together a public show. It was a good idea to separate the class into certain groups to set up the show as communication doesnt always go smoothly and having so many artists all working together would have been much tricker to get everything equally organised!

I have been working as part of the marketing group, i chose to be in this group as i was really interested to find out more about what was involved in advertising and making the public aware of our upcoming show. I attended most meetings and felt comfortable within the group to voice my opinions and my group had so many great ideas, everyone came up with so many ideas for advertising the show, someone had the idea of printing the show logo onto balloons, using the lazer cutter to produce key rings and various other ideas, but we soon realised that with our time scale and funds we would have to come up with cheaper means! I got in to contact with the Leeds Met student radio station to see if we where able to get slot to advertise our show... unfortunately i got turned down. After everyone agreeing on a name for the show more ideas began to flow and the idea of having some form a lost property box stuck, it's a great way to give away 'free bees' and advertise all our work, this idea fits in so well with the whole concept of the show as everyone's work is very different and there is no one continued theme throughout the show meaning that the objects in the box will be all random, each different and individual in its own way just like our show.
Once the posters had been delivered we all did our bit to post them up around Leeds, I put some in Brudenell Social Club, Royal Park Pub, and Nation of Shopkeepers .We also put some flyers and labels with the logos on in college and some small locations such as bars/cafes. Fingers crossed we'll get a good turn out. We also put some flyers and labels with the logos on in college and some small locations, I put some in a small cafe by call lane.

We are still to see how successful the show will actually be, I have hope in that everyone has worked well together and put a considerable amount of effort in. I have enjoyed working as a team and I really feel that it has brought the class together.
